GILMORE BACK AS MODIFIEDS TAKE ON THE TRI-OVAL

by Mark Williams

Brett Gilmore the defending modified champion returned to victory lane

this week as the modifieds raced on the tricky tri-oval for the first time in awhile in Tuesday night action.  Gilmore was very impressive in his number 7 winning all 6 segments although Jim Levan who has been off to a fast start this year did manage to tie him once for a segment win.  Second winning 3 segments was Trexlertowns Bob Amore who scored his best finish of the young season.  Amore won on lanes 4-6.  Mark Williams finished third in his number 7 also taking 3 segment wins.  Fourth spot went to the racer from Easton in his Billy Decker Modified, driven by Billy Decker!  Rounding out the top five was Jim Levan who had won the previous two modified features.  The remaining top ten- Shane Hiester, Sheldon Hiester, Troy Bowers, Steven Kerschner and Dennis Kershner.

TRACK POINTS
It was nice to have Troy Bowers back racing with us even though Randy lied about which track we were racing on.  Also thanks to Crystal for keeping score and entering everything into the computer.  How did Randy miss the top ten?  As always we appreciate Monk taking the flag duties and keeping the show moving.  It’s good we do not have to let Randy near the switch.  It is good to see Toby and Alison improving each week.  Scott Bender may have left the country???
