Cup racing moved to Monks track for the 1st time this season,
and Jim Levan continued on his winning ways with his 1st career Cup win. Jim scored 2 segment wins, including 1 on lane 1 on way to the win. Only 13 pieces of track behind, opening night winner Mark Williams scored 4 segment wins on way to a strong runner up finish. Bob Amore scored 2 segment wins to finish third. Scott Bender ran steady all night except for lane 5 but still finished fourth. Randy Haydt (had to have computer problems!) won 1 segment on lane 6 closed out the top 5.
6th Shane Hiester (2wins) – 7th Sheldon Hiester – 8th Billy Decker – 9th Steven Kerschner – 10th Dale Stengle.
SHANE HIESTER SCORES SPRINT WIN
The sprint cars returned for their 2nd race of the season, and Shane Hiester turned in his 1st career sprint win on the 8 laner. Scoring 5 segment wins on way to the victory. Looking for the sweep Jim Levan scored 3 segment wins on lanes 2-4, capped of a good night with a 2nd place run. Scott Bender turned in a career best third place finish scoring 2 segment wins. Only 2 pieces of track behind Sheldon Hiester won 2 segments finishing fourth. Randy Haydt (still having computer issues?) won 1 segment finishing fifth.
