Sheldon Hiester scores a strong TYCO Modified feature win on the Randy’s Raceway 8 Lane Oval
Randy’s Raceway racing action returned to the famed 8 Lane Oval and Veteran Racer Sheldon Hiester scored a strong feature event win over the talented 18 car field. The 8 lane racing action for this event was run on lanes #3 to #8. Sheldon Hiester certainly had his TYCO Modified running well as he claimed 4 of the 6 segments as victories. Michael Mackaravitz staked claim to 2nd place in a very strong run as well. Mike’s car was flying early in the night as he also won 4 of the 6 segments raced. Mike was contender for the feature win, But a poor run on lane 8 took him out of race for the feature win. Finishing in 3rd place, Tom Wenner with 2 segment wins. This is the 3rd consecutive podium spot for Tom in 21′.

Thank You to everyone for coming out and supporting Randy’s Raceway. 18 Strong in the field is an outstanding turnout for us, Thank You. It was nice to see Eric Beard, Mike Feltenberger, and Bill Waugh return to Randy’s Raceway action. Eric was in contention for the win but had a rough lane 7 that derailed his night. Mike Feltenberger was flying with his Hiester prepared Hot Rod. Great to have Mike back with us. Thank You to Mike for bringing copies of his “Strapped In” Magazine for the racers to enjoy. The continued theme of how tight racing action is at Randy’s Raceway stays with this week Sheldon’s win over Mike was less than lap. 2nd to 3rd was a half a lap. 4th – 5th-6th was half a lap. 7th-8th-9th was half a lap, The top 9 cars all within 3 laps of the leader. This is incredible stuff as 50% of the field was all in the mix for the top 9 finishing positions. Great Job by our racers and car builders. Reminder – Next week – Round 2 of the Randy’s Raceway Triple Crown Memorial Series – Sam Heller Memorial. We are racing on the Randy’s Raceway Original Tub Track using TYCO Nascar Race Cars. 1 lucky racer will walk away with a brand new race ready TYCO Nascar built by Bill Decker and the body was painted and prepped by Freddy Mac.
