Brett Gilmore Wins Modified Opener

The 10th season at Randy’s Raceway is off and running…we had 21 people in attendance and 18 racers for the Modified Opener.  Brett Gilmore picked right up where he left off winning the feature and scoring all 8 segment wins.  The feature was the young racers 30th career win.  With the 8 segment wins he is now just 7 short of moving into 2nd place all time.   He has now won features in 5 straight seasons.  Second spot went to veteran Shane Hiester who had a strong run winning 6 segments.  Hiester now has 54 career segment wins but is still looking for that first feature win.  Third on the evening for his best ever finish was the racer from Gettysburg Eric Beard who won 2 segments.  Fourth was Jim Levan, last seasons opening day winner.  Levan won 3 segments.  Rounding out the top five was another best ever finish for Boyertowns Toby Reinart.  The remaining top 10 were Sheldon Hiester, Mark Williams, Bob Amore, Scott Bender and Billy Decker.
