Thursday December 26, was the annual Christmas Special at Randy’s Raceway, and this year the event was a 25 Lap race for the Sportsman Division and the event was sponsored by Scott Bender Racing Photos and Chris Budihas Photography who gave some Modified Picture Magnets to hand out as door prizes. So a big Thank You to Scott and Chris for the door prizes. Now to the racing, their were 20 drivers on hand for the event, and tying for the victory with perfect scores were Mark Williams and Sheldon Hiester who both ended up with a total of 200 laps for the night. Coming home third was Kenny “Monk” Gilmore, who won 5 segments on way to the 3rd place finish. [Read more…]

Williams Wins Mod Main Event

WILLIAMS WINS MOD MAIN EVENT
Mark Williams won his 6th Modified main event this season and increased his lead in the season point standings. Williams won 5 segments after starting slowly on lanes 7 and 8. Driving a strong run was the seasons first winner Shane Hiester who won 1 segment. Williams and both Shane and Sheldon Hiester all raced right beside each other and had some good battles. Third spot went to veteran Jim Levan who turned in his strongest run this season. Levan won 3 segments in his fast Modified. Fourth went to Toby Reinhard who also had one of his best ever finishes.
