The Berks-Lebanon Modified Racing Series ran it’s 3rd and final race of the season at Woodland Raceway on Saturday and Tim “Little T” Bowers turned in a dominating sweep in the Series finale. A good field of 17 racers were signed in the pits and in the Big Block opener Tim “Little T” Bowers turned in a sweep along with only 1 fall off on way to his 1st Big Block victory. Only 22 pieces of track behind, Brian Sponagle drew the #1 pill then went on to score 5 segment wins on way to a strong Runner up finish (who invited him?). Toby Reinhard scored 2 segment wins his 2nd top 3 finish in the Series to cross the line in 3rd. Jim LeVan Gets 1st Cup Win
Cup racing returned to Randy’s Raceway on the fast 8 lane Tuesday night and Jim LeVan ended a long string of Top 5 run’s to finally score his 1st Cup win of the season. Running his Coors Lite # 40 Jim rebounded from major body damage from the previous race on the Tri-Oval (RANDY) to score 2 segment wins on way to a close win. Just 23 pieces of track behind Mark Williams trying to make it 2 Cup wins in a row scored 3 segment wins for a good 2nd place run. Bryan Kisthardt, Mark Williams Score Tuesday Night Wins
Sprint car racing and IROC racing returned to the 8 lane on Tuesday night at Randy’s Raceway with the sprints leading off and Bryan Kisthardt scored 5 segment wins in his Fred Rahmer #51 on way to his 1st career Sprint car win. Bryan’s win was only 18 pieces of track ahead of Scott Bender who scored 2 segment wins to finish 2nd. Mark Williams Scores 2nd Cup Win
Doubleheader action returned to Randy’s Raceway on the Tri-Oval Tuesday night and in the NASCAR opener Mark Williams scored 4 segment wins to claim his 2nd Cup win of the season. Point Leader Bryan Kisthardt scored 5 segment wins but a bad run on lane 1 hurt his chances for the win. Mark Williams and Jim LeVan Berks Lebanon Series Winners
It was race 2 of the Berk’s Lebanon Modified Racing Series at Randy’s Raceway and Mark Williams and Jim LeVan scored wins on the 8 lane fast track. In front of a sell out crowd and a good field of 20 racers the Big Block Modifieds opened the day and Mark Williams collected 6 segment wins on way to his 1st Series win. Marks win was about 1 lap ahead of Opening day Series winner Jim LeVan who scored 3 segment wins turning in a good runner up finish. Only 19 pieces of track behind, Cory Reinhard scored 5 segment wins on lanes 2 – 6 and scored a strong 3rd place finish. Scott Bender turned in steady runs

Scott Bender Scores Close Sprint Car Win
Sprint car racing opened the 2nd half of the season at Randy’s Raceway and Scott Bender scored his 3rd straight win of the season. Scott scored 4 segment wins on way to the win which was by only 29 pieces of track ahead of runner up finisher Mark Williams who ran his Zemco #1 to 2 segment wins. Brian Sponagle Scores First Career Win
It was the annual Road Course race at Randy’s Raceway on Tuesday night for the NASCAR Cup car, and the 1st ever IROC race on the Road Course and in the opener Brian Sponagle turned in his 1st career win on the Road Course. Running timed 2 minute segments, Brian totaled 209 laps to score the win. Brian’s win makes him the 3rd different winner in Cup action this year. Just 2 laps off the pace Randy Haydt scored a solid 2nd place finish. Cory Reinhard continued a good season with a 3rd place effort his 2nd Top 5 Cup finish. Only 1 lap behind Jim LeVan collected his 4th straight 4th place finish.

The Big Block Modifieds were first up and Jim LeVan making his 1st start at”Little T’s” turned in a sweep on way to a convincing win in the Series opener. Cory Reinhard scored 4 segments wins on way to a strong 2nd place finish. Only 13 pieces of track behind Toby Reinhard scored 2 segment wins, to come home with a very good 3rd place finish. Tim “Little T” Bowers scored 2 segment wins to finish 4th. Mark Williams ( who ran 2 cars in the same lane for a couple of laps ) still turned in a good 5th place run.
Scott Bender Scores Second Sprint Car Win
Sprint car racing returned to Randy’s Raceway for race 3 of it’s 6 season, and Scott Bender scored 7 segment wins on way to his 2nd win of the season. Mark Wiliams ran his Zemco #1 to 5 segment wins to finish 2nd. Making his 1st Sprint car start of the season Jim LeVan ran his bright Orange #1 to 6 segment wins to finish 3rd. Kisthardt Scores Cup Win, ” Fitzy ” Takes IROC Win
Holiday doubleheader action was on tap at Randy’s Raceway on Tuesday night and in the Cup opener Bryan Kisthardt turned in a perfect run winning all 6 segments to score his 3rd Cup win of the season. Randy Haydt scored 3 segment wins on the inner lanes to turn in his best Cup finish of the year coming home 2nd. Billy Decker scored 3 segment wins on way to a solid 3rd place finish, his 4th straight Top 5 of the season. John Kosmoski seems to have the new Tri -Oval surface figured out as he scored his 1st segment win of the year and a good 4th place finish. Mark Williams had a solid run going winning 2 segments but a rare crash out on lane 6 hurt his chances but still came home with a 5th place finish.

FITZY SCORES IROC WIN.
It was race 4 of the IROC season this race with AW SUPER III cars. The 6 lap segments lead to some very close finishes and some very hard wrecks, making his 1st appearance at Randy’s Raceway this year and on the new surface Mike Fitzgerald scored 4 segment wins on way to his 1st IROC win. Long time regular Alex Amore scored 2 segment wins on way to a good 2nd place finish. Only 8 pieces of track behind point leader Mark Williams scored 2 segment wins to finish 3rd. Trailing Mark by only 3 pieces of track Billy Decker and Scott Bender crossed the line in a tie for 4th.

Good to see Bob& Alex Amore back with us along with Mike Fitzgerald. Good runs turned in by John Kosmoski 4th, Tony Zappacosta his 1st segment win and a 9th place finish, and Brian Van Buskirk 10th all in Cup action. Congrats to Mike F on the IROC win, and to Alex Amore finishing 2nd. Thanks to everyone who flagged, including Adam Zappacosta who flagged for his 1st time and did a good job. Fitzy’s win in IROC makes it 4 winners in 4 races. From 2nd to 9th in IROC were seperated by 1 lap. Thanks to Randy for preparing the cars, maybe we will see them later this year.
