Shane and Fred Take Tuesday Night Wins

On Tuesday night November 11, 2011 was Third race of the season for the Sportsman and IROC divisions at Randy’s Raceway.  The double header moved to the 8-Lane for the first time this season.  Taking the win in the Sportsman division was point leader Shane Hiester.  Shane won 3 segments on the night in his Jared Umbenhauer ride.  Second went to Billy Decker.  Billy won 2 segments on the night, and has been running strong as of late.  Third went to Sheldon Hiester.  Sheldon won 4 segments on the night in his Andy Fayash ride, but in the races he didn’t win he drove like Andy.  [Read more…]

Jim Levan Wins Modified Feature

Veteran Slot Car Racer Jim Levan won his first Modified Feature of the season at Randy’s Raceway on Tuesday night on the Short Track six lane.  Levan was impressive winning all segments except one on lane 2.   Brett the Jet Gilmore won 5 segments and finished just 1 piece of track behind Levan’s #1 mod.   Gilmore drove his familiar #7 and held onto a tie for the point lead.  Mark Williams finished a close third winning two segments and just edging out the Easton Assassin Billy Decker by 3 pieces of track.  [Read more…]

Levan, Haydt Score Tuesday Wins

Jim Levan scored his 1st Cup win of the year Tuesday night running on the Short-Track. Jim won 4 segments on way to the win. Shane Hiester turned in a solid run winning 2 segments on lanes 1 & 6 for a runner up finish. Just 2 pieces of track behind Billy Decker scored 2 segment wins turning in a good 3rd place finish. Randy Haydt had his 2 race win streak snapped, but still turned in a consistent 4th place finish. Sheldon Hiester also was very steady as he closed out the top 5. [Read more…]

Williams Wins Second Modified Main

Mark Williams won his second Modified feature on the season and moves into a tie for the point lead with Idle Brett Gilmore.  Williams won all 8 segments scoring a perfect 160.   Second spot went to Shane Hiester who won 4 segments and was also on the lead lap in all other races.  Third went to the last Modified features winner Sheldon Hiester who did not win a segment but stayed on the lead lap in all 8 races.  Fourth was veteran Jim Levan driving his orange coupe.  [Read more…]
