Veteran Mark Williams used a lone segment win and consistent runs on all other lanes to win the season Sprint car 25 lap opener. The win was his 15th career in the Sprint division. Second spot was Bryan Kisthardt who won 3 segments and was only 12 pieces of track behind. Randy Haydt, “Little T” Score Opening Day Wins

The 2016-17 season opened on Saturday at Tim “Little T” Bowers Raceway in Myerstown PA and in the Modified Opener Randy Haydt scored 4 segment wins ( more on that later ) on way to the win. Randy’s win was by only 4 pieces of track over Jim LeVan who scored 5 segment wins including no come offs for a Runner up finish. Mark Williams Wins Modified Opener

Modified racing returned for it’s season opener Tuesday night at Randy’s Raceway and defending champion Mark Williams kicked off the season with a close win. Running his Gilmore #7 machine Mark won 4 segments to claim the win. Runner up Brian Kisthardt ran his Tim Fuller #19, to 3 segment wins to finish 2nd. Only 10 pieces of track behind, Scott Bender scored 2 segment wins to come home 3rd. [Read more…]
Decker Parks it on Opening Day at Randy’s Raceway

Long time veteran racer Billy Decker out of Leighton PA won the opening day Nascar 25’s at Randy’s Raceway. Kicking off the 16th consecutive season at the Berks Oval. Decker won by almost a lap over a field of 13 racers, scoring a single segment win on lane three. Driving a new body #18 Decker was on the lead lap in every lane except lane two just missing the lead lap by 2 pieces of track, talk about consistency. A surprise entry for Chris Brubaker and a borrowed Cup body from team Reinhard lead the central PA racer to a fine runner-up spot on the evening. Brubaker won segments on lanes 3,4 and 5. Toby Reinhard wound up third with two segment wins with a strong car setup for opening night. [Read more…]
