Randy’s Raceway Memorial Triple Crown Race Results from Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Randy Jay Haydt scores the final leg of the Memorial Triple Crown Series & Clinches the Triple Crown Championship in dominating fashion.
Randy Jay Haydt came to race on Tuesday Night and he was well prepared for the final race of the Memorial Triple Crown Series. The race celebrated the memory of Bob Amore. Bob was a long time supporter of Randy’s Raceway. Bob produced and sold Modified Slot Car Bodies for many years. His mark left on the hobby still is in full swing still today as many people continue to race his product. All cars in the Tuesday field were racing an actual body that was produced by Bob. RIP Bob. Randy Jay Haydt was near perfect on Tuesday. Randy won all 6 segments and only deslotted 3 times. His 901 Mod was truly hooked up. [Read more…]

Brian Sponagle and Shane Hiester split the Randy’s Raceway Coupe Modified & IROC Doubleheader
Brian Sponagle or as everybody calls him “Spoons” drove the Team Haydt to a strong Coupe Modified feature win. Spoons won 5 of the 6 segments on the tricky Tri-Oval on the way to his win. 
Spoons was able to break the strong hold on the Tri-Oval victory lane from Shane Hiester. Shane was nearly unbeatable this year to date on Tri-O racing action. [Read more…]

Randy’s Raceway TYCO Modified Race Results from Tuesday, December 28, 2021 Matt Light goes back-to-back at Randy’s Raceway scoring a Big Modified Feature Win on Scott Bender Photo Night 
Matt Light & Jordan Hess score feature wins on the Sprint Car & IROC Twin Feature Night at Randy’s Raceway Matt Light scores the 410 Sprint Car Feature event win with a strong run on the Randy’s Raceway 8 Lane Oval on Tuesday Night. Matt scored 3 segment wins in securing his 1st Sprint Car win of the 2021-22 Season. The Sprint Car points for the 20th Anniversary season are highly competitive with Sheldon Hiester holding down the top spot with 197 points, Matt Light & Randy Jay Haydt are only 3 points back tied for 2nd. Finishing in the runnerup spot on Tuesday, 2nd place point man – Randy Jay Haydt. Randy scored 2 segments wins on the night. Randy had a poor lane 7 which hurt his chances in the run for the win. Our final podium finisher of the night was point leader, Sheldon Hiester. Sheldon Hiester won 1 segment on the night. In the nightcap of the evening – Racers were treated to an IROC Show featuring the Michael Mackaravitz owned TYCO Dump Trucks. The TYCO Dumpers debuted last year and were immediately a hit with the drivers. Taking his 1st career Randy Raceway Feature Win was Jordan Hess. Jordan took a liking to the handle of the big trucks on the Randy’s Raceway 8 Lane Oval and scored 3 of the 4 segment wins to secure his first career win. IROC Racing also yields very close racing finishes and Tuesday was no different. Jordan’s win was by 2 track pieces over James Hammershock. James scored 2 segment wins in his run to 2nd place. Wrapping up our podium for the IROC Class in 3rd was Michael Mackaravitz. Mike won 2 segment wins and was only back 2 track pieces from 2nd and 4 track pieces from 1st. Close racing continues to be the theme, 1st to 3rd were only separated by 4 track pieces. Congrats to Jordan, James and Mike.

, Thank You to Timothy J. Bowers Jr for the special to all of the racers. Congrats to Jordan Hess on his 1st career win at Randy’s. 5 of the 17 drivers in the Sprint Car class bubbled out and cost them better finishes. It was no different in IROC racing – The TYCO Dumpers took their toll – 50% of class bubbled out. 7 of the 14 drivers had difficulty keeping the big truck in the slot. Lane 5 in IROC competition was the challenge.

Sheldon and Shane Hiester returned to Randy’s Raceway for 20th season of racing action and they are certainly bringing the heat each week. Both of the boys have won several feature wins in the 1st half of the 20th season of racing action. Finishing in 2nd, Mr. Spoons – Brian Sponagle with 4 segment wins in a strong run to the podium. Wrapping up our podium spot, Michael Mackaravitz in 3rd with 4 segment wins on the night. Michael Mackaravitz was only 2 track pieces out of 2nd place.

Sheldon Hiester scores a strong TYCO Modified feature win on the Randy’s Raceway 8 Lane Oval
Randy’s Raceway racing action returned to the famed 8 Lane Oval and Veteran Racer Sheldon Hiester scored a strong feature event win over the talented 18 car field. The 8 lane racing action for this event was run on lanes #3 to #8. Sheldon Hiester certainly had his TYCO Modified running well as he claimed 4 of the 6 segments as victories. Michael Mackaravitz staked claim to 2nd place in a very strong run as well. Mike’s car was flying early in the night as he also won 4 of the 6 segments raced. Mike was contender for the feature win, But a poor run on lane 8 took him out of race for the feature win. Finishing in 3rd place, Tom Wenner with 2 segment wins. This is the 3rd consecutive podium spot for Tom in 21′. [Read more…]
